Bryan grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where his love for weather started from the area's lake effect snow and summer thunderstorms. Traveling to Vermont for college was a big change that allowed him to get a feel for New England winters, Nor' Easters, and how the mountains can effect snowfall.

Bryan is also a big sports fan, cheering for his hometown teams the Browns, Indians, Cavaliers, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Bryan likes to go to the gym and play Ultimate Frisbee when he isn't forecasting the weather.
