2 arrested for meth, guns, and child neglect in Nicholas County

NICHOLAS COUNTY, WV (WOWK) - The Nicholas County Sheriff Department arrested two individuals after a domestic dispute uncovered numerous charges.

According to a release, deputies responded to a home in the Clothing Lane area near Armstrong Road. 

A subsequent search warrant yielded multiple firearms along with materials used for a "Shake and Bake" meth operation, as well as items used to package meth and explosive blasting caps.

Deputies arrested Mitchell Morales and Kandie Stephenson on charges of Operating a Methamphetamine Lab, Altered Precursors, Possession with the Intent to Deliver, 2 counts of Child Neglect, and Possession of Explosives.

Officials also charged Morales with Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

Child Protective Services were alerted of two juveniles within the residence and attended to them.

Both Morales and Stephenson are being held at Central Regional Jail on $95,000 and $90,000 bond, respectively.

WVSP assisted the Nicholas County Sheriff Department at the scene.
