Latest undercover operation by Charleston Police nets 10 arrests

CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) - The latest effort by officers with the Charleston Police Department hybrid patrols netted a total of ten arrests on Thursday, February 8th, 2018.

The undercover operation took place in the areas surrounding Capitol Market.

According to officers, residents and businesses in the area had been making claims of harassment and panhandling being committed by who police have dubbed "criminal vagrants".

Charges include, but are not limited to trespassing, drug possession, and a number of warrants and capiases.

According to Charleston Police, the following people are facing the following charges:

  • Stephanie Nichole Arthur
    • State warrant for trespassing.
  • George Warren Dickerson III
    • Municipal capias for open container x4
    • Municipal capias for obstructing
    • Municipal capias for disorderly conduct
    • Municipal capias for public intoxication
  • Kevin Douglas Esque
    • Municipal capias for Public intoxication.
  • Logan Henderson
    • Municipal capias for trespassing x2
    • Municipal capias for obstructing
  • Steven Michael Jarrell
    • Municipal capias for trespassing.
  • John Michael Johnston
    • Municipal capias for trespassing.
  • Alexander Tygankov Skeens
    • Municipal capias for trespassing
    • Municipal capias for  no operators
  • Barry Rodgers
    • Littering summons.
  • Shicole Hill
    • Simple possession of Marijuana.
