Man Arrested for DUI after Striking Logan County School Bus

CHAPMANVILLE, WV (WOWK) - A man has been arrested for Driving Under the Influence after striking a school bus in Logan County.

According to the Chapmanville Police Department Chief, at around 7 a.m., 28-year-old Nicholas Strunk struck a school bus on Crawley Creek Road. 

The collision caused extensive damage to the front-end driver's side of the school bus.

No injuries were reported, but both vehicles had to be towed.

Strunk was subsequently arrested for DUI. The Chapmanville Police Chief says Strunk was likely on a controlled substance.

Strunk is lodged in the Southwestern Regional Jail on $5,000 bond.
