Police respond to shooting in Meigs County

MIDDLEPORT, OH - Middleport Police responded to a shooting report earlier this evening.

According to a release, police responded to Village Manor apartments after receiving a report of a man with a gunshot wound. 

Police were able to locate the victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to the shoulder. 

They then learned that the victim drove himself to the apartment after having initially been shot in a different location.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.

Middleport Police, Pomeroy Police, Meigs County Sheriff's Department, and Meigs County EMS responded.
