Police investigating body pulled from river in Pike County

PIKE COUNTY, KY (WOWK) - UPDATE: 2/12/2018 10:50 P.M. 

An official with Kentucky State Police tells 13 News that the person found deceased near Fishtrap Lake has been identified. 

Troopers say that  James Wolford, 52, of Jamboree, KY was pulled out from Fishtrap Lake, a part of Big Sandy River, near Fishtrap Mine Road earlier this evening. 

Initial reports indicate that Wolford may have drowned leading to his death.

Foul play isn't suspected to have been involved.

Dispatchers tell 13 News that Kentucky State Police are investigating a body found near Fedscreek this evening.

The body was reportedly pulled from Fishtrap Lake, a part of Big Sandy River, near Fishtrap Mine Road.

The deceased's identity has not been released at this time.
