More Info released on Cross Lanes Double Shooting, 1 Victim Identified

CROSS LANES, WV (WOWK) - UPDATE: 1/2/18 @ 10 a.m.

The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office has provided an update to last night's shooting at the Dalewood Trailer Park at around 6:30 p.m. 

According to KCSO, the victims were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

One victim was Clifton Henderson, 23 years old of Bluefield, WV.

KCSO says that the second victim sustained bruising from being struck by a bullet during the shooting, but the bullet did not enter his body after it slowed going through walls and furniture.

KCSO believes that the shooting appears to have been the conclusion of a robbery in the street.

Last night a person of interest was arrested for obstructing an officer.  No one has been charged yet for the shooting.

The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office reports that a suspect has been detained in the double shooting.

Two people are injured after a shooting in Cross Lanes Monday evening.

The shooting was reported around 6:15 p.m. on the 100 block of Red's Place off of Dalewood Drive in Cross Lanes.

Dispatchers say that both injured received non-life threatening injuries. One of the victims was shot in the arm.

Witnesses reported to emergency responders that approximately 30 shots were fired in the area.

Kanawha County EMS and the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.
