Governor Justice Criticized for Saying "Chinaman's Chance" During Town Hall Meeting

GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (WOWK) - Gov. Jim Justice hosted town halls in two counties today in an effort to discuss pay raises with teachers.
However, one remark is causing backlash.

During the meeting with teachers in Lewisburg today, Gov. Justice told the audience, "There's not a Chinaman's chance," in reference to a proposed natural gas severance tax being used to fund the teacher pay increase.

Twitter users have responded to the Governor's remark, saying that his comment is, "insensitive."
