CHARLESTON -- If you can't get to Washington, D.C. to take in the inauguration of president-elect Barack Obama, you can still celebrate in Charleston.
The AFL-CIO is hosting an inauguration viewing party at the Cultural Center.
The event will take place from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. on Jan. 20.
The ceremonies will be broadcast on the movie screen in the Cultural Center Theater and there will be tables and big-screen TVs in the Great Hall for people who want to brown-bag lunch during the event.
The event is open to the public at no charge, and coffee and water will be provided.
