One person was shot at a bar on 8th Avenue.

Huntington -- Police are still searching for answers after a man was shot in a bar in Huntington Friday night.

It happened at the 8th Avenue Bar located at 1602 8th Avenue just before 11:15 p. m.

According to the Huntington Police Department, a black male in his 30's was shot once in the abdomen.

The victim was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital, and was undergoing surgery as of 1 a. m. Saturday morning. His condition is not yet known and police have not released his name at this time.

The suspect is described as a male wearing a gray hooded jacket, armed with a handgun.

Police are still investigating.
