While many industries are dealing with a job reduction right now, the demand for health and social workers is soaring.

ONA -- In a time when many companies are cutting jobs, one place in Cabell County is looking for workers.
The Underwood Children's Home in Ona is understaffed right now.
As a result, the Children's Home Society is looking for people to work with those children who are temporarily staying at the home.
Managers said it's a job that's in high demand right now and it can be very rewarding.
"We're in need of people that work directly with our kids," said Mark Drennan, administrative projects specialist with the society. "Those are the people that get them up in the morning and off to school and fix their lunch and dinner and breakfast and make sure they're showered and clothes . It's like running a normal household, except we have 15 kids."
