Community Comes out for Rocky Young Benefit

Rocky Young is a former West Virginia professional boxer who is paralyzed after car accident in Morgantown.

PROCTORVILLE, OH -- A community comes together to raise money for a former professional boxer injured in a car accident.

Many came out to support the Rocky Young Benefit at Fairland Middle School in Proctorville. Young is from Moundsville, West Virginia and boxed professionally in the 80's.

He is now paralyzed from the neck down after an accident in Morgantown last April.

All proceeds from the event will Young's family to help cover his medical costs.

I would like to make a corrrection to this story. Rocky was NOT in a car accident. Rocky is an ironworker and was on a job in Morgantown where he was unloading material from a large flatbed truck when he fell off the truck. Keep the prayers coming-and thank you!

Rocky is a wonderful, caring man. I worked with Rocky at ORV. I wish him and his family well and pray for them in this most difficult time.
