CHARLESTON -- One West Virginia college is $1 million richer thanks to an unexpected gift from an alumnus.
Edgar Loring graduated from what is now University of Charleston in 1948.
And while the former Morris Harvey College lost track of the student, he never forgot the institution responsible for his business knowledge. Tuesday afternoon, UC announced Loring's $1 million gift left behind after his death in 2008 will go to UC's graduate school of business.
A classroom inside the school of business hwas named in Loring's honor.
