Weir Knocks Off PikeView In Overtime

Weir advances to the state championship game after beating the Lady Panthers 2-0 in overtime.

BECKLEY -- The Lady Red Raiders pulled out a win against PikeView in overtime Friday morning.

Weir scored two goals in the final ten minutes of overtime to beat the Lady Panthers.

Junior Lindsay Thorp got the Red Raiders on the board first and junior Meliena Maragos added another goal just minutes later.

Weir will play for the AA/A state title Saturday morning vs. Charleston Catholic, who beat Grafton 7-0 earlier Friday morning.
