FAIRMONT -- The Marion County Board of Health met on Friday and the H1N1 swine flu vaccine was at the top of the agenda. The county has already held clinics at each of its three high schools and is now moving on. The board hopes to hold a clinic for the general public in the coming weeks, but wants make sure it has enough vaccines first.

The Health Department will hold a clinic for those aging from 19 to 24 on Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will hold another clinic on Nov. 11 for children from 6 months to pre-school age.

Why are they holding public clinics when they have not fulfilled their obligation to the school children in all of the schools yet?

Does anyone know where this clinic will take place? I fall into this age group and live in Marion County but the article doesn't say where the clinic will be.

Thanks.

Thank you Marion County Board of Health - my son - a nine yr old awaiting one of your wonderful H1N1 clinics at his elementary school was diagnosed with the swine flu on Friday! You are a little too late to help him! But thanks anyways! You would think that the BOH would move a lot faster on getting the children of our County vaccinated to ensure the health of not only the children but the teachers and/or staff! Monongalia County - a much larger County then Marion County - has completed the clinics in ALL of their schools; so what is the Marion County BOH's excuse for not caring enough to work a little over time (if necessary) or simply work a little bit faster and/or harder to insure the well being of our children of Marion County. YOU - MARION COUNTY BOH - MAKE ME SICK!!!!!!! I bet all of you and your family members have been vaccinated though! Must be nice!
