West Virginia's High School Football Playoff Matchups Announced

The games will be played next Friday and Saturday.

PARKERSBURG -- The WVSSAC Class AAA, AA, and A high school football playoff brackets were released Sunday morning, in Parkersburg.

In AAA, top-ranked Brooke will take on number 16 Princeton, Friday, at home.

No. 15 Lewis County will travel to No. 2 South Charleston Saturday.

Third-ranked Bridgeport will host No. 14 Parkersburg, Friday night.

Also on Friday, the 13th-ranked University High Hawks will head to No. 4 Spring Valley.

The No. 5 Fairmont Senior Polar Bears will host No. 12 Parkersburg South at East-West Stadium, Friday evening.

Sixth-ranked George Washington will face No. 11 Capital at Laidley Field, Friday.

Number 7 Martinsburg will play host to No. 10 Morgantown, Friday.

No. 8 Nicholas County will face off against No. 9 Ripley, Friday.

In AA, No. 1 Wayne hosts No. 16 Oak Glen, Saturday.

Second-ranked Magnolia will play No. 15 Roane County at home, Friday.

The third-ranked team, Sherman will host No. 14 Chapmanville, Saturday.

No. 13 Herbert Hoover will travel to No. 4 Frankfort, also on Saturday.

Fifth-ranked Westside will face No. 12 Pikeview, Friday night at home.

No. 6 Bluefield will play host to No. 11 Liberty (Raleigh), in a Friday night match-up.

Also on Friday, 10th-ranked Point Pleasant will head east to face No. 7 Keyser.

No. 8 Ravenswood will host No. 9 James Monroe, Saturday.

All of the Friday games will be played at 7:30 p.m., while all Saturday games will start at 1:30 p.m.

In A, No. 1 Madonna will take on No. 16 Gilbert, in Weirton Friday.

Also on Friday night, No. 2 Man will play No. 15 Parkersburg Catholic.

Saturday, No. 3 Richwood faces No. 14 Pendleton County.

Fourth-ranked Williamstown squares off against No. 13 Valley (Fayette), Friday.

No. 5 Wheeling Central will play No. 12 Moorefield on Wheeling Island, Friday night.

No. 6 Wirt County will host No. 11 Iaeger, Friday.

Seventh-ranked Fayetteville and No. 10 Wahama will meet in Nicholas County, Friday.

Clay Battelle, ranked eighth, will play host to number 9 Tucker County, also on Friday.
