Delegates approved the measure aimed at helping West Virginia cities.
CHARLESTON -- The House of Delegates Thursday approved a bill aimed at relieving cash-strapped West Virginia cites from expensive pension plans.
The bill would allow cities close their existing pension plans for newly hired police and firefighters.
The state Senate approved the bill Nov. 18.
The bill now will head to a conference committee to iron out any differences, then will go to Gov. Joe Manchin for his decision.
