SPENCER -- Last year there was a shortage of some snow removal materials here in West Virginia, but fortunately this year, Division of Highways leaders say that's not the case.
With the "Ice and Snow, Take it Slow and Don't Crowd the Plow" campaign, DOH hopes to educate motorists on the safety of driving in winter conditions.
Kenny Miller, snow plow driver for 12 years, says his biggest frustration is trying to stay out of the way of other vehicles while he's clearing the snow.
With clearing the roads, DOH leaders say that all of their salt sheds are full, which is enough salt for the upcoming winter.
DOH crews are now ready for the first snowfall of the season and hope motorists will stay safe around them as they clear snow from roadways.
