UPDATE: Suspect Arrested in Lucasville Sandwich Shop Robbery

Scioto County Sheriff's Department is investigating

LUCASVILLE, Ohio -- UPDATED TUESDAY AT 10:42 AM

Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini tells WOWKTV.com that Justin Adkins, 32, has been arrested arrested for the Aggravated Robbery of the Lucasville Subway on Sunday.

According to a news release, Sheriff Donini says the suspect was arrested just after midnight Tuesday morning, after detectives, acting on a news tip, searched for Adkins for more than six hours.

Adkins ultimately surrender to authorities.

Adkins is charged with one count of first-degree aggravated robbery and was arraigned in Portsmouth Municipal Court Tuesday morning.

The Scioto County sheriff's department is investigating the reported aggravated robbery of the Subway in Lucasville, Ohio.

Sheriff Marty Donini said his office received a 911 call for assistance on Nov. 22 at approximately 9:48 p.m.

An employee at Subway told deputies they had just been robbed.

The employee stated a white male, approximately 6-feet, 10-inches tall with a heavy build came into the store with his face covered up, showed a weapon and demanded money.

The employee told investigators the male left the store on foot with an undetermined amount of money.
