HUNTINGTON -- A man originally from Florida was sentenced Monday on federal drug charges, according to a news release from the US Attorney's Office.
David Ryan Adkins, 27, was sentenced to 51 months in prison for possession with intent to distribute oxycodone. Adkins pleaded guilty to the Federal drug charge last December.
On Jan. 2, 2009, the Kenova Police Department executed a search warrant at a Wayne County home where Adkins was residing. Investigators found two sets of electronic scales, a drug ledger, over $3,100 in cash, approximately 83 prescription pills, a handgun, and ammunition.
