Pools Prepare for Start of Season

Only a few pools opening this weekend

The Memorial Day weekend usually means heading to the pools for summer fun, but only a few area pools in Kanawha and Putnam counties will be open this weekend.

They include the Coonskin Park pool, Kanawha City Community Center pool, County Park pool in Eleanor and Hurricane Wave pool.

These pools will open Saturday, and just in time for warm weather.

Most of the other city and county pools will open June 6th.
