Landon Baisden is charged with kidnapping and malicious wounding

DINGESS -- Mingo County Sheriff's Department says they have arrested a man who allegedly kidnapped, choked and beat a woman.
According to the criminal complaint released to WOWKTV.com, Landon Baisden, 37, held Arizona Murphy in his home and choked and assaulted her for several hours on Monday.
According to the report, Murphy was so badly choked, that blood vessels burst in her eyes.
Murphy told authorities that she attempted to escape her home, but Baisden repeatedly dragged back inside. She was only able to escape the home when Baisden fell asleep.
Murphy was able to get to a phone to call authorities. Baisden was arrested and taken to magistrate court. He is charged with malicious wounding and kidnapping.
He is in the Southwestern Regional Jail.
