The cause of death is still under investigation

HUNTINGTON -- Huntington Police released the identity of a man whose badly decomposed body was found Nov. 11.

Detectives said the remains are those of Fred Hutchison, 65, from Huntington.

Officers found his body in an apartment when responding to reports of a breaking an entering on 24th Street on Nov. 11.

The state medical examiner's office used X-rays from a previous medical procedure to identify Hutchison.

The cause of death still remains under investigation.
