CHARLESTON -- There was not an empty seat in the house as the No. 8 WVU Mountaineers took the court inside the Charleston Civic Center for a rare home-away-from-home game Nov. 24.
It's an event both the fans and the players look forward to each year.
Regarless of the opponent, local fans flock to the Civic Center to watch a game many otherwise wouldn't get to see in person.
And with Thanksgiving a day away, 13 News asked the fans which player they're thankful for.
"I'm thankful for Devin Ebanks, that he's still on the team," said Tim Tonkin. "It sounds like he's got some problems. I just hope he gets straightened out whatever they might be and lead the team on into the big east tournament and past that."
Fred Coleman said, "I suppose it's Da'Sean Butler. Why? Because he's a future NBA star."
"I'm a big fan of Dan Jennings," said Ryan Chambers. "Because he's a hustler he gets the hard hustle award from this guy.
The players say they're equally as thrilled to get to play in Charleston for those fans.
