Christina Rena Page is charged with malicious wounding and malicious assault.
NITRO -- A woman is now in jail after allegedly stabbing her roommate.
The incident happened just before 1 p.m. Nov. 25 at 1307 13th St. in Nitro. Christina Rena Page now is in custody, according to police.
According to a news release from Nitro Police, Paris Workman II stated he and his girlfriend, Julianna Elswick, had been living with the suspect, Christina Rena Page.
Elswick stated she was confronted inside the residence by Page about them owing rent money.
Elswick told police Page placed a knife in front of her face and threatened to stab her. Elswick said she was scared for her safety and told Workman what had happened.
According to the news release, Workman then went to the front porch and began arguing with Page. During the argument, Workman stated he was stabbed in the right arm and left side of his head. Workman was treated on scene and his injuries were not life threatening.
Page was arrested and charged with malicious wounding and malicious assault. She was taken to Kanawha County Magistrate Court for arraignment. Page was released on a personal recognizance bond.
