The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals offers ways to keep pets safe
CHARLESTON -- Don't forget about man's best friend this Thanksgiving holiday.
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals offered some ways to make sure your pets enjoy the holiday too.
If you feed your pet some turkey make sure it's well cooked. Cats and dogs can get an upset stomach from sage. If you use it to season food, make sure to keep it away from the animals.
Also, don’t give a pet raw bread dough, it can rise in the animal's stomach and make them sick. Pet experts say it's okay to give animals their own little feast, but not to over feed them.
