Deputies do not expect to file charges in the case.

JEFFERSON -- The Kanawha County Sheriff's department released the name of a man hit and killed by a car Friday, Dec. 11 in Jefferson.

Tony Skeens, 53, of Kenna, died in the accident that happened in front of Tomahawk's Bar.

Deputies said Randall Patrick, of St. Albans, was driving west on U.S. Route 60 when he heard a noise and realized something had struck his 2003 Chevrolet Suburban.

Investigators said Patrick immediately pulled over to check his vehicle and when he looked back, he discovered a pedestrian laying on the ground.

At this time it is not known if Skeens was crossing or walking along the roadway.

The accident remains under investigation. Charges are not expected to be filed.
