CINCINNATI (AP) - Running back Giovani Bernard picked up a Bengals offense missing receiver A.J. Green on Sunday, turning short passes into big plays, and Cincinnati's defense held down yet another top quarterback for a 24-10 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. The Bengals won their home opener and improved to 2-0 for the first time since 2006.

MILWAUKEE (AP) - Matt Clark hit a three-run homer in Milwaukee's five-run seventh inning, and the Brewers beat the Cincinnati Reds 9-2 Sunday. Mark Reynolds added a solo shot in the eighth as the Brewers won for the fourth time in five games. Matt Garza allowed one run and four hits in six-plus innings.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Justin Thomas won the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship on Sunday for his first Web.com Tour title, beating Richard Sterne with a birdie on the first hole of a playoff after Sterne blew a late three-stroke lead. Thomas hit a wedge from 79 yards to 2 feet to set up his winning birdie on the par-4 18th.
