Ann Ali is a political reporter for WOWK-TV and The State Journal. She returns to West Virginia Media after a year as outreach coordinator for the Alzheimer's Association, West Virginia Chapter.

From August 2006 through August 2009, she was a staff writer for The State Journal. She interned with the Charleston Daily Mail in 2006 and West Virginia Legislature's Reference and Information Center in 2005. She graduated from the W. Page Pitt School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Marshall University in 2006, and was copy editor and news editor at The Parthenon.

She grew up in Moundsville and got her first experiences in journalism working in every position at the Moundsville Daily Echo through high school and college every chance she had.
