Brandon Bloomfield

Brandon Bloomfield is a producer at WOWK-TV 13. He joined the 13News team in October 2009.

Brandon is the producer for West Virginia Tonight Live; a statewide news broadcast that airs weekdays at 5:30 p.m. on WOWK in the Charleston-Huntington area, WVNS in the Beckley-Bluefield area, WBOY in the Clarksburg-Morgantown area, WTRF in the Wheeling-Steubenville area, and WJAL, which serves parts of Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia.

He also produces WOWK's Noon newscast.

Before coming to 13News, the Charleston native served as the morning news producer at WVNS-TV 59 in Beckley, WV, and as a newscast director at WBOY-TV 12 in Clarksburg/Morgantown, WV; both West Virginia Media stations.

He attended the Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism at West Virginia University. During his senior year, he served as executive producer for WVU News; a weekly, student-run newscast that airs on PBS stations across West Virginia. While at WVU, he played saxophone for four seasons in "The Pride of West Virginia", the Mountaineer Marching Band, and in the Basketball Pep Band. Brandon was also a member of the University Choir on campus.

When he wasn't busy with school work and performances with "The Pride", he enjoyed spending his free time with his Omicron brothers of Kappa Kappa Psi. The co-ed, honorary fraternity is an organization that supports college and university band programs all over the US. Brandon is excited to bring the news and issues to the people of West Virginia every day.
