Brandon Essington

Brandon Alexander Essington has been part of West Virginia Media since October 2009. Initially he started off as a web producer for the company and after a year and a half, he was promoted to Director of Internet Operations in May 2011.

Brandon graduated from Bethany College with a Bachelors in Communications.   He is originally from Mt. Pleasant, Pa. and currently resides in St. Clairsville, Ohio with his loving fiance.

Brandon works out of West Virginia Media's WTRF 7 office in Wheeling where he originally interned as a graphic designer while completing his degree. 

Brandon is a huge Oakland Raiders fan and a Pittsburgh Penguins fan.  He is also a USC football fan and a Pitt basketball fan. 

Brandon is a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity and played for the Bethany Bison football team until sidelined with a back injury.   As a member of Beta Theta Pi, Brandon was the philanthropy chair and with the help of his brothers, helped raise over $5,000 in one year to the Augusta Levy Learning Center, learning center for children with autism, in Wheeling.  Brandon's little brother in the Psi chapter of Beta Theta Pi is former WTRF 7 anchor and current Director of Communications for Rep. David McKinley, R-W.Va., Jim Forbes.  Jim helped Brandon get his foot in the door to start his career at West Virginia Media.
