April Kaull is a news anchor for West Virginia Media, based at WOWK-TV in Charleston, W.Va.
April was born and raised in Harrison County, W.Va. She attended Lincoln High School and then graduated with honors from West Virginia University's Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism. She started her broadcasting career as a reporter and anchor at WBOY-TV in Clarksburg, in 1995.
In 2000, April moved to the Charleston area as the weekend anchor and Charleston reporter at WOWK-TV. In 2001, West Virginia Media purchased WOWK, WBOY, in addition to WTRF in Wheeling, WVNS in Beckley, and The State Journal business newspaper. April joined West Virginia Media the same year as a statewide anchor and reporter.
She served as the executive producer and anchor for "West Virginia Tonight Live," the company's daily statewide newscast, from October 2003 to October 2010. From July 2009 to February 2012, April served as the Vice President of News Operations for West Virginia Media. She also served as Acting News Director at WOWK-TV from April 2010 to December 2011.
April is an active member of the community and volunteers her time with a variety of organizations.
