Suspect Charged in Barboursville Shooting; No Injuries Reported

David Lambe, of Barboursville, has been charged with wanton endangerment. He was arraigned Tuesday afternoon, but due to health complications, was released on his own recognizance. Under court order, other guns in his home were handed over to police.

One shot was fired in the street in front of First State Bank in Barboursville just after 10 a.m. Tuesday, but nobody was hit, according to police.

Four people were detained and one person was arrested. Also, the gun was recovered, according to Barboursville Police Chief Mike Coffey. The suspects' names were not released at this time.

Detectives were still on the scene Tuesday morning interviewing witnesses, and reviewing surveillance video from the bank, Coffey said.

At least one person was shot Tuesday morning near the U.S. Post Office on Central Avenue in Barboursville, according to witnesses at the scene.

The post office and nearby Barboursville Elementary School were locked down for a few minutes, but were given the all-clear, school officials said.
