Marshall University senior Vinny Curry has been invited to play in the 2012 Senior Bowl.

The defensive end will play in the game, which is set for 4 p.m. Jan. 28, 2012 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala., according to a news release from the university.

Curry is a candidate for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, the Chuck Bednarik Award, both for the nation's best defensive player, and the Rotary Lombardi Award, for the nation's best lineman, according to the news release. He is tied for first nationally with six forced fumbles and second with 18 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks.

The Neptune, N.J., senior has had 53 tackles this season.
