CHARLESTON, West Virginia -

Fire fighters were called to the Amherst Port early Sunday morning for a tugboat on fire.

Amherst Port employees tell 13News that the "Captain Ed Harris" caught fire early Sunday morning. The fire is believed to have started in the exhaust system.

A representative with Amherst Port released a statement saying employees called in the fire as a part of procedural protocol and the fire was quickly controlled and extinguished.

The boat was in for repairs.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
