If the saying goes that a quarterback is only as strong as his line, then according to Point Pleasant quarterback Eric Roberts, he can rest easy with an offensive lineman like Trey Livingston.
Roberts said Livingston is a true athlete and trusts he will protect him in the pocket.
Livingston echoes the same leadership qualities about Roberts.
Roberts is a three-year starting quarterback who has broken pretty much every record for the Big Blacks, including career touchdowns, career passing yards and most passing yards in single season.
They are two of 17 seniors who will be making history this weekend when Point Pleasant makes its first appearance in the school's history at the state championship football game in Wheeling against Wayne.
The last time the two teams met in the regular season against the Pioneers, Point won that game by two points.
The duo said it expects yet another close game, but this time the two are trying to earn the right to be called a champion.
