Charleston - Huntington, West Virginia -- WOWK -- 13News2 Killed in Lincoln County Wreck

Two people were killed in a wreck in Lincoln County Tuesday morning, according to the West Virginia State Police and the state Division of Highways.

Rebecca May and her daughter Mackenzie Haynes were killed in the accident.

Their vehicle was found in a creek along state Route 34 near the Putnam County line early Tuesday morning.

The vehicle was found at 8:39 a.m., authorities said.

State Police from the Hamlin detachment, the Hamlin Volunteer Fire Department and Lincoln EMS were on the scene as of 9:30 a.m.
