The WOWK 13News Toys for Tots drive was a success thanks to sponsors, the U.S. Marine Corps and viewers across the region.

The drive started at 5 a.m. Dec. 8 and wrapped up at about 7 p.m.

If you missed the drive Friday, you can still drop off  at Ashley Furniture locations, Beford Ford and Huntington Banks locations.

WOWK 13News will also work with the U.S. Marine Corps to collect donations during the South Charleston Christmas parade on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Toys for Tots is a national program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves since 1947. It provides gifts for needy children during the Christmas season.

This year, the Marines accepted donation requests only through a web site. They are no longer accepting requests.
