A trial date has been set for a Hurricane man accused of hindering EMS workers trying to help his daughter.

Rudy Falbo is headed to court on Jan. 23.

Falbo's charges have also been reduced from felonies to misdemeanor obstructing an officer, battery of a government representative and battery of emergency service personnel.

Last January, Falbo's daughter was involved in a car accident in Hurricane.

Court records indicate Falbo was asked several times police and firefighters to get out of the way and even became violent.

Family members said he was trying to console his daughter.
