West Virginia State Police troopers are investigating what they're calling a "possible homicide" at the Mildred Mitchell Bateman Hospital in Huntington.

Troopers were called to the hospital last week after an altercation between a patient and two employees, according to Sgt. R. G. Perry.

The patient was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital where he later died. The body has been taken to the state medical examiners office in Charleston for an autopsy, according to the state police.

Troopers told 13News that they do have surveillance video from the time of the alleged altercation. Perry said they would not release the video Monday.

Both employees have been suspended pending an investigation.

No names were released.
