Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce hands out volunteer awards

The Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce handed out awards Friday to volunteers who are making a difference in their community.

They're called the Star Volunteer Awards, given to businesses or individuals who are making Huntington a better place to do business.

Among the recipients was this year's Volunteer of the Year, Buck Crews. "I am very pleased and honored to receive such an award from the chamber. A lot of people volunteer their time energy and efforts improving the business climate here in Huntington, otherwise improving the quality of life for those of us who live and work in this area. it's a real privilege," said Crews.

There were also awards given to some of young business leaders who are volunteering in the community.
