Marshall took an early 11-10 lead with nine minutes to go in the first half and never looked back.
Marshall was led in scoring by DeAndre Kane with 13 points.
Balanced scoring was key for the green and white.
Four different players scored in double figures for the Herd.
The Herd out rebounded Tulane 45-22.
Marshall now improves 14-8 and 5-3 in conference play.
The Herd hits the road next to face the Tulsa Golden Hurricane on Saturday.
