Marshall football was represented well in Super Bowl XLVI.
Former Thundering Herd running back Ahmad Bradshaw scored the game-winning touchdown on Sunday.
Bradshaw rushed for a 6-yard score with :57 left to give the New York Giants a 21-17 lead over the New England Patriots.
New England took the ball over and attempted a Hail Mary pass in the end zone as time experienced.
However, the pass was broken up, giving the Giants their second Super Bowl victory in two years.
Bradshaw finished the game with 72 rushing yards on 17 carries and one touchdown.
He finishes his 2011 season with a career-high 10 total touchdowns and 731 rushing yards.
