West Virginia State looked to avoid a three-game losing when they faced the Alderson-Broadus Battlers on the road Saturday night.

AB got going early on in this one thanks to the heads up play of Kurklin Bohanon. He was strong to the bucket plus the foul.

Then on the very next offensive possession, Nate Barnes is ready to shoot and he nails it.

A-B took the 6-point lead.

State did all they could to hang in. Robbie Lewis comes up with the block that leads to the fast break.

Delrico Lane almost loses it out of bounds but finds Howard Douglas at the last second and he buries the 3.

But this one belonged to A-B.

Bohanon lined up for the trifecta and rattled it in.

The Battlers bounce the Yellow Jackets by 31, 80-49
