HURRICANE -

UPDATE

Hurricane Police have not released the cause of death, but say it does not appear the man was hit by a train.

Mayor Scott Edwards told 13News that the body was found near Fruth Pharmacy and Mountaineer 4x4 on Tanner Street.

The body appears to be that of a middle aged male and was found 20 feet from railroad tracks.

Neighbors said this is the second time in the past year a body has been found in that same area.

Many told 13 News that they wish something could be done to keep people off the tracks. "I know it's illegal but I don't know what can be done. And I know a lot of people walk the tracks from the high school and stuff," said Josh Ellis.

Monday's body was found right behind his home.
