
The Winfield Generals and Riverside Warriors faced off Monday night in high school boys basketball.
The Generals were able to pull off a 15 point victory, winning the contest 77-62.
Winfield had a 12-point lead in the fourth quarter when Christopher Turner hit one off a miss for the put back. That increased the Generals' lead to 14.
Riverside tried to answer when Rayshawn Payne hit a three-pointer, cutting Winfield's lead to 11.
Minutes later, with the Generals, leading by 8, Cameron Powell lost control, but managed to kick the ball out to Turner for a three-pointer.
Winfield hit another one with two minutes left, putting the Generals up by 15.
