The owner of a Charleston pawn shop is getting in on the ground floor of a new NASCAR racing operation with an old pedigree.

The owner of All-N-One on MacCorkle in Kanawha City is sponsoring Bobby Dale Earnhardt of the newly-formed Earnhardt-Carson racing team.

Earnhardt explained getting that first sponsorship is a huge hurdle.

"First sponsors are kind of leery on coming on board with a new face," said Earnhardt, who came to Charleston to announce the sponsorship, "because they don't know and once you land a first sponsor and get out there and prove yourself you just roll right in."

Earnhardt is the grandson of racing legend Dale Earnhardt, senior, and nephew of current NASCAR Sprint Cup Driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.
