West Virginia State men's basketball team improved to 12-10 and 10-8 in WVIAC play with its win over Bluefield State on Saturday.

The Yellow Jackets outscored the Blues 24-8 in the second half in route to a 72-61 win.

David Ford had 20 points for State while Corey Bethea added 18.
