One more down and only four games to go until the end of the regular season for the Marshall Thundering Herd.

The green and white avoided a second half collapse against SMU on Saturday in Dallas.

Marshall squeaked out a 73-68 win.

The Herd led by 11 at halftime over the worst team in Conference USA and never trailed.

SMU's rally fell short thanks to Damier Pitts' game-high 20 points for the Herd.

Marshall improved to 7-0 all-time vs. the Mustangs.

The Herd returns to Huntington on Wednesday to face Houston.
