Sheriff's deputies arrested a Kanawha County man Friday night on charges stemming from a domestic violence incident.

Jackie Deusenberry, 54, was charged with witness tampering and being a convicted felon in possession of firearms, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies arrived at Deusenberry's home at 8080 Campbell's Creek Drive at about 9 p.m. Friday after receiving a call about a domestic disturbance, the news release states. There, deputies overheard an argument in which Deusenberry threatened to harm his wife.

After deputies intervened, they discovered Duesberry has a .22-caliber rifle and a .223-caliber rifle and ammunition. A criminal history check revealed that Deusenberry has been convicted in 1995 of attempted murder and malicious wounding.

Deusenberry was taken to the South Central Regional Jail.
